At least 12 people lost their lives today when a company plane “Transas Airwais” floundered on the bridge and fell into the river near the capital of Taipei.
On the plane were 58 passengers, beyond the dead there are also many wounded, reports BBC.
Taiwanese media have broadcast footage of aircraft is almost completely submerged in the river Kilung.
Rescue teams are trying to extract survivors from pieces of aircraft which are thought to be 30 survivors.
